About
In 2011, we began investing in the youth athletes living in our local community, specifically in the sports of baseball and softball. Our efforts have been primarily focused on providing highly skillful athletes with the opportunity to play baseball at the highest competitive levels available.
Over 150 youth athletes from Hood and surrounding counties are currently playing baseball on select traveling teams hosted at our training complex and indoor facility. Seeing these young athletes get the opportunity to play the game they love has turned our eyes and hearts to another group of children in our community.
We are currently in the process of renovating one of the fields at the Texas Edge Training Complex into an appropriately outfitted field for children and adults with special needs and challenges. Our aspiration is to see these individuals in our community enjoy sharing the game of baseball with new friends and families; in order to fulfill this dream, we have become a member of the Miracle League network to build a safe field accessible to players using wheelchairs, canes, and walkers.
The global organization of the Miracle League insures that the facilities built and maintained for the children using our field will be of the utmost quality. The greatest thing we have witnessed during our time investing in youth sports is the relationships that are built in the community. We are starting this new endeavor with the hope that by reaching out to these special individuals with physical or mental challenges, our community comes closer together as we enjoy the game of baseball together.
We realize that we can not reach this goal alone, and are asking community leaders, businesses, and organization to help in uniting around some very special kids and adults. We would like to extend an invitation to you to be a part of the Miracle League of Granbury.
